About Me
I began my career in the nonprofit sector, spending a decade focused on macro-level change. While I valued that work, I found myself increasingly drawn to individual stories and meaningful one-on-one connections. In 2013, I earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Trauma and Crisis Response. Over the past 12 years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including private practice, the Department of Corrections, community mental health agencies, a therapeutic community, and as a mental health evaluator for a nonprofit organization.
Clients often tell me they feel at ease and comfortable with me from the start. I understand that most people seek therapy when something in life isn’t working—and that exploring your thoughts and feelings, giving up unhealthy coping strategies, and making lasting change can be incredibly difficult. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you, offering clarity, direction, compassion, and support—while also gently challenging you to explore new perspectives, habits, behaviors, and experiences. I believe in the power of balance, and I aim to create a safe, welcoming space with a laid-back style, humor, and levity when it’s helpful.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors in all seasons. I balance healthy activities with a healthy dose of TV and movies (unashamedly, I’ve watched The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Super Troopers at least 30 times each). I also enjoy reading, cooking, baking, gardening, spending time with my family, playing with my dogs, and taking mountain drives. I root for the Broncos, but I’m an original Sconnie who proudly owns a Cheesehead® – Go Pack!
*Please note: I am currently not providing therapy to Colorado licensed/certified healthcare and mental health professionals due to a potential conflict of interest.
